For the second year in a row, Real Madrid was crowned champion of MICFootball Punta Cana in the U12 category. They achieved this with a very solid tournament performance, playing every match at a high level and giving their opponents very few chances. *Los Blancos* arrived at the 2026 event as favorites and returned to Spain with the trophy.
Madrid’s run in the Gold Phase was commanding. In the Round of 16, they defeated Nación FC 4–0; in the quarterfinals, they gave Interbarrial no chance (7–1); in the semifinals, they dominated FC Toro (7–0); and in the grand final, they secured victory in the *Clásico* against Barça with a 4–1 win.
Liam Roman was a standout performer in Madrid’s triumph, scoring 13 goals throughout MICFootball Punta Cana 2026, making him the top scorer of both the category and the tournament.
