The Real Madrid U12 team lifted the championship trophy in the first edition of the MICFootball Punta Cana, after defeating FC Barcelona 4-2 in the final.
The Whites won a hard-fought Clásico, leading by a narrow margin (2-1) at halftime. Barça equalized just after the start of the second half, adding excitement to the game. However, Real Madrid were more effective in the opposing penalty area and confirmed their victory with two more goals, thus reaffirming their superiority throughout the tournament.
The win against Barça seals an unblemished MICFootball Punta Cana for the Whites, unbeaten in seven matches. In addition to their three group stage wins, they have also added three more wins in the knockout stages, all of them convincing against Proyecto JDB, FC23, and Turín El Salvador in the semifinals (5-2, although they started out losing).
The first MICFootball Punta Cana in Cap Cana has crowned Real Madrid in the youngest category, the U12. In the consolation final, the Interbarrial Selection defeated Real Romana FC by a resounding 8-0.
