The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) and MICFootball have signed an agreement through which MITUR becomes a strategic partner of the prestigious international tournament MICFootball Punta Cana 2025, thus consolidating the country’s position as a top-level sports destination.
MICFootball Punta Cana, which will be held in 2025, will bring together promising young football players from different parts of the world, giving them the opportunity to compete in a high-level environment while enjoying the beauty and hospitality of the Dominican Republic. Thanks to this agreement, MITUR will strengthen the promotion of the country as an ideal destination for sports tourism, attracting teams, families and football fans of various nationalities.
“Tourism and sport go hand in hand, and this alliance with MICFootball is a great opportunity to continue projecting the Dominican Republic as a benchmark in the international sports arena,” said MITUR, who highlighted the positive impact of this type of event on the local economy and tourism.
For his part, David Bellver, representative of the MIC, expressed his satisfaction at having the support of MITUR and stressed the importance of this tournament in the training of young talents: “MICFootball Punta Cana will be a unique experience both in the sports and tourism fields, and having the support of the Ministry of Tourism will allow us to take this event to a higher level.”
