The Mexican side demonstrated their quality of play from start to finish, winning their group stage matches and living up to their status as favorites in the grand final, where they defeated Fundación DYF 2–1. The opening goal was scored by Cruz Azul’s Zoé Sinaí Mendoza Hernández, but Isabella Ureña Abreu managed to equalize at 1–1. The match was decided when Sofía López López scored the second goal for the champions.
